As you review the “Meet Our Team” page, you will notice that a significant portion of our highly trained staff work in our Design Engineering department. The first course of action on any project is to develop an approach that considers a number of variables, the most important of which meeting the design-intent. As we process the intent, our team also considers constructability, durability, serviceability, lighting performance, and structural integrity. Through a combination of high-quality 3-D renderings and extremely detailed construction drawings, our goal is to make sure you know exactly what we plan to deliver before fabrication even commences. As part of this process, we also offer prototyping to ensure that any potential issues are realized and mitigated prior to the full fabrication process.

We serve as a resource in the project’s planning phases to provide budget forecasting for projects based upon schematic designs. It is through this process that we are also able to offer critical value-engineering recommendations. In the end, a thorough review in the preliminary phases of the project is key to streamlining a project and saving considerable time and money.

We recognize that oftentimes our specialized trade is just a small part of the overall project scope. Whether it's identifying blocking requirements or power consumption, we perform considerable due diligence when coordinating with General Contractors, Architects, and Owner Representatives to ensure the site is ready for when our product arrives for installation.

PERMITTING

Any developer will tell you that the biggest hurdle they typically face is securing the governmental approvals required to successfully launch a project. The project’s signage is typically one of the most scrutinized aspects of the approval process. At ISG, we have experience securing the oftentimes painstaking approvals in municipalities all across the United States. Whether it is a variance presentation before a Planning Commission, or simply navigating the local ordinance to ensure a smooth permitting process, ISG can assist (as needed) with any or all aspects of the process.

Project Management

Integral to the success of every ISG project is the high level of responsiveness and attention to detail that our Project Management team offers. As either the Owner, Design Professional, or General Contractor, we understand that your project being completed on time and within budget is paramount. Our project managers are trained to recognize that every project is likely as unique as it is multi-faceted, and are vigilant about trying to ensure that unforeseen obstacles don't place the project off track. They communicate with you to ensure no stone is left unturned.

In the interest of being able to take complete ownership of the project in the permitting and installation phases, we also retain a Contractor's License in approximately 25 states across the USA. This allows us legally perform installations with our own crews while also controlling the permitting and inspection processes.

DESIGN-ASSIST

ISG maintains the creative capacity to take a project from the initial concept all the way through fabrication and installation, when necessary. However, our team is at our absolute best to when collaborating with our trusted design partners through a Design-Assist model. We have worked with many architects and environmental graphic designers to take their creative intent through our design-engineering process. We can assist not only with the design engineering that occurs prior to fabrication, but we can also support programming, messaging, and other vital parts of the design process. We are prepared to assist as early in the project as needed, and as much (or as little) as we are needed.

Fabrication

So many national sign companies lose control of quality control and scheduling when they outsource the fabrication to wholesale manufacturers. At ISG, we self-perform the fabrication because we recognize nobody cares out our product (and yours) like we do. We intentionally recruit and retain a team of skilled craftsmen whose diverse skill sets allow us to offer the broad range of product offerings that you see in our portfolio. We also recognize that a craftsman is only as capable as their tools, and as such, we have a comprehensive stable of CNC machinery, press brakes, and industrial saws. We also place a tremendous emphasis on the finish, maintaining two (2) state-of-the-art paint booths with an in-house paint mixing process. For digitally printed surfaces, we possess a flatbed UV printer allowing for direct-to-substrate applications, as well as a UV roll-to-roll digital printer for applied prints.

We are also a UL-certified manufacturer of both electrical signs and general luminaires, meaning every illuminated display that leaves our facility has a UL-listed sticker.

At ISG, we recognize that the success of every project is realized during the installation phase. We take complete and total ownership of the installation process with the goal of self-performing as many of the installations as realistically possible. To bring substance to this claim, ISG retains a contractors license in approximately 25 states, allowing us to both secure our own permits and send our crews for the installation on the majority of our larger projects. When it isn’t possible for ISG to self-perform the installation, we tap into an extensive network of subcontractors who are thoroughly vetted to ensure both competency and responsiveness.
